Why is Times Square the largest 'hangout spot' and a 'Top Attraction' in NYC?
Times Square is located in midtown Manhattan from 42nd Street to 47th Street, and in between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. This part of the city never sleeps. It is the hub of the city. One of the biggest celebrations is the Times Square 'ball drop' every New Year's Eve. People travel every year in the blistering cold and get in line at least a day in advance in order to get the best views. It's pretty romantic they say; the weather, the lights, the company. It's got every attraction you can think of: broadway theaters, cinemas, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, and shopping, shopping, shopping! A majority of the street is pedestrian only - littered with seating for passersby. It's noisy and exciting and a lot of eye-candy to last an entire day. This is where business and entertainment lock arms together and do a waltz in the streets all day long.

On any given day there are over 300 different ethnicities represented here. There's lots to see and do.
