Tribeca is the 'Triangle Below Canal Street'. This triangle piece of land was first called the lower west side, but soon changed as a result of the revitalized Soho. After which it soon became a haven for the hip and trendy residents boasting both residential and commercial artistry. Several landmark buildings are located there. It's the most deceptive neighborhood. The exterior of many of the buildings are unattractive. However, the interiors of most are like art galleries. Several popular american icons own or live in this neighborhood.
This is not a very busy neighborhood. Most of the action takes place indoors. The residents in Tribeca live well and enjoy a dichotomy of pleasures such as: there's excitement, but not too outrageous; it's secure yet not overly established. It's a mix of townhouses with private underground garages and more modern hi-rise luxury buildings. It's extremely 'pricy'.
